Letter of Praise
It is always nice to print letters of a complimentary nature. Chris passed the following to us.
My wife and I would like to express our thanks and gratitude for the terrific work that both Chris Olsen and Beli Munoz do on behalf of not only us ex-pats but also on behalf of anybody who has questions or problems. They are sympathetic to all questions asked and are always ready to help when they can and if not then they will point you in the right direction for somebody that can. The trips and other amenities which they arrange are second to none and indeed it must be said that the work they do for the local community is excellent and much appreciated. Please, if you have any queries regarding any problems or otherwise visit Chris or Beli.
Anna and Keith Snow. Manilva.
Trip to Baelo Claudia, Bolonia
On Friday 13th June 52 people enjoyed the Foreign Residents Department trip to Bolonia and the Roman site of Baelo Claudia including the brand new museum that has been purpose built at the site. The museum is ultra modern and uses the latest interactive screen technology to portray the fascinating history of Baelo Claudia, the most important Roman city in the west of the Iberian peninsula. Virtual displays and artist’s impressions show how the people lived and worked at the fish salting factory and the tannery. On display are many of the artefacts and statues that have been found at this site. Following the museum visit the group toured the site itself which is located just behind the magnificent white sand beach at Bolonia. The trip included a superb lunch at the San Jose del Ville restaurant nearby.
