Cudeca Fundraising News

The Council of the Anglican Church, Costa Del Sol West, recently presented Cudeca with a donation of 1000€ towards their in-patient unit appeal. Regular donations have also been pledged by members of the congregation as part of the church’s Cudeca care campaign.

The Marbella Rotary Club President, Mr. Carlos Zabala, presented Cudeca with a cheque for 10,000€. Rocío Torres Mancera, PR & Fundraising Manager was delighted to accept the generous donation on behalf of all the team at the Hospice. The funds raised originated from the Charity Cuban Dinner held at the Marbella Golf and Country Club on Saturday 19th April.

Cudeca Raffle Update

By the 20th June CAP had banked on behalf of Cudeca, 2,095€ mainly as a result of raffle tickets sold but also including three donations (one donation of 250€ was generously given by Fyffes Bananas Spain).

After the raffle draw by Joan Hunt M.B.E., Founder of the Cudeca Hospice which will take place at the El Paraiso Country Club on the 9th July at around 11.30 a.m., there will be an auction of various items, including a new, good quality canteen of cutlery; two 50€ vouchers for Simon Dalli’s Pasta Factory in Puerto Banus and much more. Any commission bids for these and other items may be made by phoning Les on 952 803 759. Anybody willing to sell tickets or donate any unwanted items (must be of new/good quality items) for the auction please phone Les at the above number who will arrange collection of any item.

July Date TBC BBQ 60’s Disco Night, Estepona

Carol Lewis, a loyal supporter of Cudeca, will be holding BBQ Disco parties throughout the summer in aid of Cudeca. The first will take place in July (date to be confirmed) at a farm on the outskirts of Estepona. There will be live 60’s disco music all night and lots to eat and drink. Tickets are priced at 30€ per person inc. wine or beer. A maximum of 25 people can attend on the night, so book your tickets now by calling Carol directly on 666 131 332.

11th July, Gala Dinner, Jardin Botanico de Málaga

Following the success of the 1st Gala Dinner held in July 2007, Cudeca Hospice will be offering a similar banquet this summer. The aim of the dinner is to raise funds by holding an unforgettable evening, commencing with a cocktail reception, a delicious dinner to follow thanks to the catering by the Limonar 40, live music, auction and raffle which will include fantastic prizes. The event will be held in the beautiful and renowned Botanical Gardens of the Finca de la Concepción in Málaga. This charity dinner will take place on Friday 11th July at 9pm. 12th July, Marbella Football Game in aid of Cudeca

The Marbella Football Club, is hosting a triangular tournament with newly promoted Peterborough United and Rochdale on Sat 12th July. Kick off will be at 8pm and the gates will open at 5pm with entertainment provided from 17.30hrs to 19:30hrs. Entrance fee will be 5€ per person with children under 16 for free. The whole event will be for the benefit of Cudeca and the first match will be kicked off by the President and Founder of Cudeca, Joan Hunt, OBE.
