Patricia Cottew has been given permanent exhibition space in the H10 Estepona Palace Hotel, Plaza de Guadalobon, Estepona . At present she has nine paintings on display in various areas of the hotel and plans are underway for a permanent gallery in one of the conference rooms near the reception area.

Her artistic range is wide and varied including landscapes, seascapes, figurative paintings and wild animals. Those currently on display in the H10 Estepona Palace are all oil paintings produced with a spatula but she also paints in pastel, watercolour and pen and ink.

Her paintings are full of life, dappled sunlight, leaves sparkling in the breeze, the glint of early morning sun on a boat's fittings and the life and soul of animals gleam from their eyes. She has not had formal training but during the 1960s/70s when living in Madrid she belonged to a group that met every morning at the Colegio de Bellas Artes to paint from life. During that time she also attended the Madrid School of Ceramics where she studied sculpting in clay. In between rearing her five children she has always managed to fit some time in for painting but now has retired to Estepona to dedicate her time to developing her skills and her own particular style. She has exhibited frequently with individual shows in Estepona, Malaga and more recently at The Casino, Puerto Banûs, as well as participating in collective exhibitions locally and in Gibraltar. She also exhibited extensively in England and belonged to various Art Clubs and Groups.

An extensive range of Patricia's paintings can be seen on her web site www.patriciacottew-artist.com
